Women and the Workplace
Many ladies find networking a daunting experience and can be intimidated by the number of suits in a room. Confidence is so easily shattered and that is why many women only networking events exist - to help support and encourage ladies until they have the confidnece and ability to grow into other groups. Too often ladies face the accusation thier business is only a hobby and are not taken seriously. Ladies only events allow you to promote your business in safe and respectful surrounding and finally empowering you to be the self confident business woman you crave to be.
Strength can be found in many women's groups. The support, understanding and comradeship are inspiring and motivational.
Within women's groups it is clear the silent understanding where words do not have to be said, you just know. It is good to share that sort of feeling - it’s not just you. The ability to learn from others, forming friendship with strangers without questioning or having to prove yourself. As soon as you arrive at an event you can get down to what you really want to know and come away with a feeling of great satisfaction - you are OK! Be proud and be fabulous!
When was the last time someone said Thank You, or well done, you are doing a great job? Are you valued as a member of staff, a work colleague or even with your 'little business'. Do not accept the pat on the head as a reward, stand up and be counted and know you have a place, not only in the business world but part of the British Economy.
Be the roll model for your friends, family and your children. Show them there is a world of choices out there and it is up to you to strive for them and make those dreams come true.
