Keller Breakfast 2010
Joining a regular networking group in business is essential. You need to build contacts, data bases and friends in business. The best way to advertise your business is at a networking event, especially where you get the opportunity to present your business with a one minute (or more) presentation.

Public speaking may not be your thing, but it is time to learn and pretty damn fast. You need to be able to sell yourself and your business, and remember - people do business with people- especially ones they have built up a friendship with.

The Keller Breakfast at The Coppid Beech Hotel in Bracknell, offers you this opportunity. Membership is also on offer but you will be expected to turn up to at least 2 events before joining - unless you join on a recommendation. Membership will give you a spotlight opportunity at a breakfast meeting and extra exposure on this website with links to you website.

Breakfast meetings are monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, but always check the Events Calender in case there are any changes. 7.30AM - 9.30AM For costs see the Keller page on this website.

Remember one minute presentations - only give time to introduce yourself. Do not try to sell in that minute - real networking happens after the meetings, over a coffee or at an arranged meeting. Never say your name in the first 3 words, give people time to 'tune into' your voice -just like a radio.

Enjoy your networking - its doesn't need to be hard work, if you are not enjoying it, you will not come across as the type of person people want to meet. So think of how others see you. The best thing you can do at any networking event is LISTEN.

Learn about other people, if you can make referrals it will make you very memorable. Don't be afraid to use props, the days of 'think of a hook' or coming out with some clever words are over. We are all smarter networkers now, so just be yourself, be honest and most of all - be friendly. GOOD LUCK
