Although Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter and Neptune are in retrograde motion there is still volatile planetary action about during August. Surprises in the economy and even the stock market may catch us unawares. Otherwise summer is finally here and we can enjoy a relaxed holiday mood as the Sun passes through the regal sign of Leo the Lion. The love planets Venus and Mars are both in romantic Libra and relationships will be highlighted during this time. Spending more quality time with our loved ones is definitely on the August agenda. Mercury, planet of communication and commerce, joins the retrograde throng on the 21st. It’s best to have any important decisions and ventures out of the way by then. Check your travel plans carefully – Mercury is the trickster and he likes having fun at your expense

Celestial movements during July

July brings some very powerful planetary dynamics, particularly after the 22nd when stern Saturn moves back into Libra and forms a difficult square aspect with unconventional Uranus and transformational Pluto. We could experience more disruption and turbulence on the economic front. These powerful aspects will also signify new and exciting breakthroughs in our understanding of the universe. Motivational Mars continues in critical Virgo and is joined by the love planet Venus on the 10th. Virgo likes order and this could present excellent opportunities to sort out any problems in relationships. There is a total eclipse of the Sun in Cancer on the 11th July. This new moon energy brings changes and breakthroughs. Cancer is the sign of the family and of the past so adjustments in the home can now be tackled.

What’s happening in the heavens during May?
After the possible travel and communication chaos of Mercury in retrograde motion since the 18th of April, things become easier as the messenger planet moves direct again on the 12th. Venus spends a restless few weeks in Gemini, but then she becomes softer, more sensitive and family orientated after the shift into Cancer on the 20th. The new moon is in down to earth Taurus on the 13th and turns our attention to Mother Nature and the great outdoors. As Uranus, the maverick planet, moves into fiery Aries on the 28th, sparks may well fly. This energy is highly charged and unpredictable, Uranus hasn’t been in this sign since 1928 and with this planet we must always remember to expect the unexpected!

The Cosmos and your Business during April
April starts with an abundance of passionate and exciting energy. After a somewhat slow month in March, there is a feeling of vibrancy in the air now. The Sun and communicative Mercury are both in full on Aires and hot-headed Mars charges forward in the regal sign of Leo. This means that creative projects can really get off the ground now. The money planet Venus is in confident, down-to-earth Taurus, moving into fast-paced Gemini on the 26th. The one to watch is Mercury, the winged messenger. Mercury turns retrograde (appears to move backwards) on the 18th of April. Once again it’s time to be very careful with all forms of communication and travel. During this period, which lasts until the 12th of May, the trickster Mercury likes to cause confusion and misunderstandings, so my advice is to check, test and confirm everything, more than once! Serious Saturn moves back into Virgo on the 8th and requests that we review our health, our diets and our lifestyle, in order to bring more equilibrium into our lives. This is a good time to reassess and re-evaluate our life and work balance – and to do something about any imbalance.
