Global Entrepreneurship Week 17th - 20th Nov
There is a great need to provide opportunities today that help entrepreneurs pursue their dreams and build the businesses of tomorrow. Global Entrepreneurship Week 2011 will kick-start the conversations that are needed to make this happen.” Andrew Devenport, Chief Executive, Youth Business International

Every day in the UK people talk about making a change in their life and consider starting up a business. By connecting individuals to practical support and those who have done it already, Global Entrepreneurship Week 2011 will help turn these exchanges into the businesses of tomorrow.

To find out what’s happening during the week in your area then just search for an event.

It’s more than just a week

Global Entrepreneurship Week is a celebration of the past 51 weeks, and sets the scene for the next year ahead.

Global Entrepreneurship Week 2011 will address the concerns and anxieties of budding entrepreneurs; enabling many more people to create new opportunities and successful ventures that will continue to flourish all year round.

Our supporters (the wonderful organisations that run activities during the Week) use Global Entrepreneurship Week to have those exchanges that help them launch something new, showcase their projects, or just generally raise the profile of entrepreneurship in their locality. They do this because we all recognise that entrepreneurship is a force for good. It can lift people out of poverty, enable people to take control of their own lives, or simply turn their passions into profit.

Activities range from enterprise competitions to talks from local role models to large scale conferences. Read stories of events that took place during past Global Entrepreneurship Weeks in our Inspiring Stories section.
