My Malaysian news
People ask me how I got involved with the Malaysian business people.
A few years ago, I was heavily involved with organising the Malaysian Festival in Bracknell when I was with the Chamber of Commerce. We ran the event for 2 years and it was hugely successful and brought thousands into the town to enjoy the sounds, sights and taste the food.
Malaysians are excellent at networking and very generous with their referrals and invitations.
Not too long ago I was invited to Limkokwing University as a speaker on the subject of networking. ( Have a go at pronouncing it yourself!) This is the first Malaysian University outside of its country and they are very proud of it. It is situated in a beautiful building in London opposite Green Park, next door to the Japanese Embassy.
Malaysia is celebrating 50 years of Independence and last Monday I joined them at a Ball at the New Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden. His Excellency The High Commissionaire was the guest, another event is coming up on 1st October and again I hope to attend to meet The Malaysian Prime Minister. It is a great honour.
